I have a networking challenge........

LaughingGood Morning everyone.  I have been a member of IBN for about 1 month.  I've already made some great connections. Personally, I'm very excited about this group and I would love to see IBN grow to be one of the largest and most productive groups in town.  Together, I think we can make that happen.

I have a challenge for every member of IBN!

If everyone brought just one visitor to a meeting next week, we have the potential to double this organization in just one week!

Is anyone up for the challenge?  One visitor.......that's easy!

Please post something below if you're accepting my challenge!

I'll take you up on the challenge.  Who else wants to step up?

Let's have a contest.....

A contest............oh Brenda, I see you are a competitive gal! Woo Hoo!

INVITING VISITORS IS EASY AND YOU CAN DO IT WITH NO EFFORT........

Getting a hair cut?  Invite your stylist, she/he is in business!

Getting your nails done?

Do you have a dentist appointment up?  Invite your dentist!

Do you get your pets groomed?  Your groomer is in business.

Any plans to eat out this week?  Ask to meet the catering manager, invite them.

Making a bank deposit this week?  Invite your bank manager.

Do you need to make a trip to Home Depot to pick up air filters (reminder to change your filters).....I promise you will run into someone who owns a construction company there!

Standing in the dreaded line at the store? Ask the person behind you if they own a business or if they know someone who does.

Just a few ideas................I'd love to hear some ideas from all of you!

Shelly,

This is the most compelling IBN post ANYONE who is a member on our website has ever contributed because it demonstrates the ease with which we can all help ourselves grow our circles of professional contacts. Exponentially.

Men, more than women, have a tendency to measure themselves by what they do for a living, with their careers. The simplest 'icebreaker' I have ever found when meeting another guy, or gal in a sports bar, is "So, what do you do for a living?  If I discover the person is either self-employed or some type of commissioned sales representative I will ask, "If you could attend a couple hour long networking meetings,in which we will allow you to take five minutes to tell us what you do and who you would like to meet, would that idea appeal to you?" You know, no more than two out of three people you meet like this will say no to you.

Help us help you.

Brenda -  THANKS FOR THE GREAT IDEA!  Now the big question is what will the price be?  Ideas? Anyone?

Did you mean prize?  if so... Holiday World is always giving away tickets.  you could ask if they would donate some tickets.

No prize needed to do something that's right to do. Inviting is something that comes naturally to us, and we always promote good events/meetings etc. to anyone who wants to grow outside of their comfort zone. Guests, don't wait to become an IBN member. Invite others even when you come as a guest and join together.
